Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) has decided to approach the Lahore High court for Shahbaz Sharif’s accountability.

Chairman PTI Imran Khan while talking to local news channel “ARY News” programme Powerplay said that PTI’s Ijaz Chaudhry would submit an application against the Punjab Chief Minister on Saturday,

While giving his comments in the programme, Khan said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif must not be under any illusion that he and his party won the case since the hearing was adjourned until next year.

He said that PTI got additional time now to come up with more preparedness in the case next year.

“It has become evident that the Sharif family have nothing to say in their defence. They even not have any money trail related to their flats in London and other properties,” said Khan while claiming he has complete money trail of his properties.

Chairman PTI said Qatari prince and his alleged letter was only a part of a Sharifs’ fabricated plot in a bid to complicate the case.

On Friday, the Supreme Court of Pakistan resumed the infamous Panamagate case and declared that instead of a judicial commission, the top court would continue the legal proceedings against the defendants in the case.

“The court will continue hearing the Panamagate case since there is no consensus on the formation of a judicial commission,” said Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali yesterday.

However, the CJP also maintained that “the apex court does not require either party’s approval to form a commission” though it earlier sought a consensus of opinion by the petitioners and the defendants.

PTI’s main legal representative Naeem Bukhari clarified that if a judicial commission will be formed, PTI would boycott it.

Imran Khan on Friday said that the Supreme Court’s larger bench must continue hearing the Panamagate case since it got a better understanding of it.

“We will not let the nation forget about this corruption scandal,” Khan told PML-N in a clear message. (PhotoNews /ARY News)
