ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, on Sunday expressed willingness to resume talks with the PML-N government .
Khan’s remarks came a couple of hours before his address to the party’s large public gathering in Islamabad where he vowed to announce a ‘plan C’.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif decided in a meeting to reinitiate dialogue process with PTI.
“It would have been better if the government had announced resumption of talks ahead of our Nov 30 rally,” Khan said.
Khan condemned JUI-F leader Maulana Khalid Mehmood Soomro’s assassination, but said that blocking of roads by JUI-F workers in Peshawar “is Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s conspiracy he hatched in connivance with government.”
“I’m a democratic person and don’t believe in violence.Pakistan could only be saved through a true democracy,” Khan affirmed.
