The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has approached the Supreme Judicial Council against Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja.
PTI General Secretary Omar Ayub, represented by Barrister Ali Zafar, filed the complaint, which details incidents occurring before and after the elections.
The complaint requests an inquiry into the alleged misconduct of the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commission members. If the allegations are substantiated, the complaint seeks their removal from office.
The complaint alleges that the Election Commission failed to ensure transparent elections. It claims PTI polling agents were expelled during the elections, the commission failed to release results following the law, PTI candidates had their nomination papers confiscated, and PTI workers were abducted.
Furthermore, the complaint states that the Election Commission did not act against the PTI media coverage ban and that media and polling agents did not receive Form 45 promptly.
