ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has denied recent viral reports claiming a TikTok ban. In a post on X on Thursday, the agency called the circulating document false and misleading.

“PTA clarifies that no such notification has been issued, and the circulating information is false and misleading,” the regulator said.

Officials urged citizens to stop sharing unverified claims on social media. The public must get news only from the official PTA website and verified accounts, the agency added.
