Karachi: A local Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday remanded a suspect in police custody in a case pertaining to murder of Karachi University teacher Prof. Waheed-ur-Rehman.
Prof. Waheed-ur-Rehman was gunned down by unknown attackers in Karachi on 29 April 2015.
Police produced Sami-uz-Zaman in court and submitted that the accused was arrested by Gulberg police for his alleged involvement in Prof. Waheed-ur-Rehman’s murder. The investigating officer claimed that Zaman was also involved in others murders.
Police sought custody of the suspect for further questioning. At which, the judge handed him over to police on 14-day physical remand.
