Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today directed Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar to utilize all resources to protect state buildings.

He gave this order while  presiding over a meeting of senior ministers and party leaders at Prime Minister House.

The prime minister condemned demonstrators for violating sanctity of the state institutions.

In addition, it was decided that a joint sitting of the Parliament would be summoned on Tuesday to mull over the current political situation.

It is reminded here that three people were killed and more than 500 were wounded in heavy police shelling on demonstrators as they tried to march toward Prime Minister House.
