President Dr. Arif Alvi appointed Balochistan Governor Malik Abdul Wali Kakar on Friday.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recommended Malik Abdul Wali Kakar under Articles 48(1) and 101, and President Dr. Arif Alvi okayed Malik Abdul Wali Kakar as Balochistan’s new Governor. Kakar belongs to Balochistan National Party (BNP) and works as the senior vice president.
Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha, the former Governor of Balochistan, resigned in April last year, days after Imran Khan was ousted as prime minister by a National Assembly vote of no confidence.
