PPP Punjab Expels Senior Leader Latif Khosa for Crossing Party Boundaries

PPP Punjab President Rana Farooq Saeed has decided to expel senior leader and lawyer Latif Khosa from the party, revoking his membership.

The president of PPP Punjab stated that Khosa had crossed a significant boundary within the party, leading to this action being taken against him.

He further mentioned that Khosa had been repeatedly cautioned not to overstep the party’s guidelines but had disregarded these instructions.

The PPP Punjab president alleged that Khosa not only took advantage of the privileges associated with being the party’s lawyer but also attempted to secure the appointment of his son as the attorney general for Pakistan (AGP).

According to the president, Khosa resorted to blackmailing the party leadership when his request to appoint his son as the AGP was rejected.

Khosa, a former Punjab governor, recently proposed that the PPP dissociate itself from the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) to strengthen its position in Punjab.

During a press conference at the Lahore High Court, Khosa expressed his opinion that Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari should not be a part of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s cabinet. He regretted the PPP chairman’s appointment as the foreign minister in April of the previous year.
