MUZAFFARABAD, Azad Jammu and Kashmir: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) demands re-polling at stations that recorded turnout above 80%, citing alleged irregularities in the 2026 Legislative Assembly elections.

Party sources told ARY News that the PPP raised the demand during negotiations with a government delegation. The delegation agreed to refer the request for consideration.

The PPP also sought fresh elections in four constituencies of Mirpur Division. The party linked its complaints to seats contested by Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, Javed Iqbal Budhanvi, Chaudhry Pervaiz Ashraf and Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq.

PPP representatives said they submitted evidence of alleged manipulation to the government and election authorities. Raja Pervaiz Ashraf previously cited stations with turnout ranging from more than 80% to almost 100%.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won nine of 13 Mirpur Division seats in the first phase. The PPP secured four seats, according to preliminary results.

Voting in the second phase began Sunday across nine Muzaffarabad Division constituencies and 12 refugee seats. Polling was scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
