Power producers warn of hot sweltering summer if dues not paid

Chairman Independent Power Producers Advisory Board has warned of long hours of power load shedding if the producers not paid dues immediately, IPPs Advisory Board chairman Abdullah Yousuf said that the circular debt of the energy sector has soared to over 300 billion rupees including 205 billions of the independent power producers.

Abdullah Yousuf said that the IPPs have utilized their all financial sources, if the government wants electricity from the IPPs, it has to ensure payment of their arrears.
