A police officer was killed during a gun battle with arms smugglers in Dera Ghazi Khan earlier today.
The police spokesperson said that on a tip-off the police team headed by Sub-Inspector Imran Nawaz chased a suspected truck in Kot Chatta. The unknown miscreants opened the fire on police and SI Imran Nawaz was killed in exchange of fire while the weapon smugglers fled.
After the incident the police cordoned off the area and carried out a search operation to arrest miscreants.
