In Goth Meani, district Ghotki, while en route to Ronti Police Station, three officers, Shafique Ahmed Gul, Abdul Hanan, and Abdul Sami Sammo, were fatally wounded by robbers’ gunfire.

The remains of the fallen officers have been transported to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. Further official response came from Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjhar, who sought details from the SSP Ghotki and directed the DIG Sukkur to enhance officer safety training. He committed to intensifying efforts against criminal elements and ensuring that justice would be served promptly.

Moreover, in the Kacha area of Machka, within the Rahim Yar Khan district, a fierce encounter between police and a group of robbers occurred. The confrontation resulted in the death of four criminals known for kidnapping, robbery, and other severe offences. During this encounter, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Machka was killed.

ASP Bhong Ijaz Khan and DPO Imran Ahmed Malik promptly arrived at the scene with substantial police reinforcements.

According to a police spokesperson, the officers were intervening in a kidnapping attempt when the robbers ambushed them. The exchange of fire led to the death of the SHO and Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ramadan, the latter succumbing to a heart attack during the shootout, which also left one constable wounded.
