Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid’s (PML-Q) local Bodies elections candidate Mirza Sharif came under drive-by gun attack by as yet unidentified assailants late Friday.
According to initial reports, the unknown gunmen attacked Mirza Sharif, a Q-League candidate contesting the LB polls in Karianwala tehsil of Gujrat.
Mirza Sharif was in his car along with his sons when the unidentified assailants took them off-guard, according to police sources.
The police sources said one of Mirza’s son was killed and the other wounded. However, he escaped the assault unscathed.
