PML-N candidates for NA-154 join PTI before re-elections

Two PML-N candidates, Rana Aslam and Hassan Mehmood for NA-154 constituency of Lodhran announced  their decision to  join PTI, scarcely a month before by-elections.

Rana Aslam and Hassan Mehmood  in a press conference with senior PTI leader Jahangir Tareen in Lodhran announced this decision earlier today.

Apparently this would be a huge setback for the PML-N, which had announced that it will contest the elections on this seat.

Rana Aslam had filed nomination papers to vie for provincial assembly seat, PP-210, and Hassan Mehmood for PP-211. Both the seats fall in NA-154 (Lodhran) that fell vacant after an Election Tribunal last month ordered disqualified PML-N’s winner candidate, Siddique Baloch, over his fake degree.

Reelection will be held in the NA-154 constituency on October 11.
