Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday took notice of the reports of famine in Tharparkar district of Sindh and directed immediate supply of food and medicine to the affected people.
The Prime Minister directed National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to submit a report in this regard.
He also directed Benazir Income Support Programme officials to submit a report regarding financial assistance and cash grant given to the residents of Thar during last six months. – APP
