Ilia Topuria has praised Cristiano Ronaldo’s involvement with WOW FC, saying the Portugal star has played an active role since joining the promotion’s family at the end of 2025. Ronaldo partnered with Topuria in WOW FC and quickly showed a strong willingness to help.
Topuria said Ronaldo’s attitude surprised him in a positive way. He described the football icon as highly engaged and always ready to support the organisation in whatever way he could.
In a recent interview with MARCA, Topuria said Ronaldo had shown real commitment from the moment he joined WOW FC. He said the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has remained available, supportive and eager to contribute.
Topuria also underlined Ronaldo’s personal interest in combat sports. He said Ronaldo genuinely enjoys contact sports and is keen to attend a WOW FC event in person.
Although Ronaldo has not yet appeared at a WOW FC event, Topuria suggested it nearly happened before plans changed. He said Ronaldo came close to attending one show, but other circumstances prevented the visit.
Even so, Topuria sounded confident about what lies ahead. He said he believes major moments still await the partnership and suggested Ronaldo is likely to attend at some point.
That prospect adds another layer of interest to WOW FC, especially given Ronaldo’s global profile and Topuria’s growing presence in combat sports. For now, the partnership appears active, with both sides sharing enthusiasm for the promotion’s future.
