In a high profile security meeting, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved the creation of the Rapid Response Force (RRF) on Tuesday. The prime minister also approved the establishment of the National Intelligence Directorate under the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA). The formation of the directorate is aimed at strengthening coordination between the federal government and the four provinces.
