Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks’ DUI arrest in Arizona drew attention after the NBA player was detained in Scottsdale early on March 6, 2026.

According to media reports, Brooks was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at around 2 a.m. Friday morning. He was released approximately an hour after being taken into custody.

Authorities have not publicly shared additional details about the case.

Reports indicate the 30-year-old NBA player was released roughly an hour after his arrest.

Brooks plays both small forward and shooting guard, and he is currently part of the Phoenix Suns roster. The arrest comes during a period when Brooks is already sidelined due to injury.

He fractured his left hand during a game against the Orlando Magic on February 21, 2026. Following surgery, the Suns forward was ruled out and is expected to miss four to six weeks. Before the injury, Brooks was enjoying one of the best seasons of his career.

According to reports, he averaged 20.9 points and 3.7 rebounds in 50 games, marking a career-high scoring average. Brooks is currently in the third year of a four-year contract that he signed with the Houston Rockets in 2023.

He joined the Rockets through a sign-and-trade deal with the Memphis Grizzlies before later becoming part of the Phoenix Suns lineup.
