PM Nawaz seeks report of Islamabad Imambargah attack

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain today condemned the Islamabad Imambargah attack that left at least two people dead and 10 more injured.

Taking notice of the incident, the prime minister sought a report of the (brazen) assault.

Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan also denounced the attack in the strongest terms.

Earlier, At least two people were killed while 10 more suffered shrapnel as well as bullet wounds in a powerful explosion that struck an Imambargah (Shiite mosque) on Kuri Road in the federal capital.

“After throwing a number of grenades, the heavily armed terrorist(s) opened fire on the worshipers in Imambargah Qasr-e-Sakina,” sources quoted eyewitnesses as saying.
