A small twin-engine plane experiencing an engine failure crashed into a moving car on Interstate 95 in Florida. Shocking dashcam footage from another vehicle captured the Beechcraft 5 descending rapidly toward the southbound lanes during rush hour traffic.

The plane struck the rear of a 2023 Toyota Camry, bounced, and skidded to a halt, sending a shower of sparks across the highway. Despite the dramatic impact, the incident resulted in no fatalities.

The driver of the car, a 57-year-old individual, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 27-year-old pilot from Orlando and his 27-year-old passenger from Temple Terrace emerged from the crash completely unscathed. They remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities.

A driver of a car suffered minor injuries after a plane crashed into it as it landed on Interstate 95 in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting a full traffic crash investigation to analyse the sequence of events. A section of the major highway was temporarily shut down following the incident to facilitate emergency response and the initial investigation.

Initial reports indicate the pilot declared an engine problem moments before the forced landing. The exact nature of the mechanical failure will be a key focus of the subsequent investigation, which is likely to involve the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

This extraordinary event highlights the potential dangers of emergency landings in densely populated areas. The remarkably low injury toll underscores a combination of pilot skill, emergency response, and sheer luck during a highly dangerous situation.
