Karahi: Pillion-riding ban, imposed in the city for two days to ensure security on the occasion of Defence Day on September 6, has been lifted at midnight Sunday.
Sindh Home Ministry had imposed the ban effective from the midnight on Friday and remained imposed over the weekend (Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6).
Women, children below 12 years of age, senior citizens, journalists, personnel of law-enforcement and security agencies in uniform and employees of the essential services were immune from the ban.
