Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a 20% discount for students travelling from Pakistan to China. The baggage allowance has also been increased to 60 kilograms.
The airline operates one weekly flight from China to Pakistan every Sunday on the Islamabad-Beijing-Islamabad route.
Students planning to visit Pakistan for summer vacations or returning home after completing their degrees can also avail of this discount.
Ali Imran, a Pakistani researcher, informed APP that many Pakistani students study in various Chinese cities.
PIA’s discount and increased baggage allowance will greatly benefit these students.
Last month, PIA reduced one-way fares for Umrah pilgrims, residents, and work visa holders of Saudi Arabia by 20% and 30%, respectively.
The Umrah discount applied from April 7 to 11 for passengers travelling from Pakistan to Jeddah and Madinah.
Travelers heading to Dammam and Riyadh could also benefit from the fare reduction.
