PIA Fujairah flights suspended for 48 hours after Pakistan International Airlines issued a travel advisory linked to the security situation in Gulf countries. The move adds to wider disruption across Pakistan’s Middle East flight network as regional instability continues to affect airlines and airspace planning.
According to the advisory issued on Tuesday, PIA will continue limited UAE operations through Al Ain for now, while Fujairah-bound services remain halted during the temporary suspension. The airline had already suspended multiple Gulf routes earlier this month because of the deteriorating regional security situation.
PIA Fujairah Flights Suspended
The latest disruption comes amid a broader wave of cancellations on Pakistan-Middle East routes. Reports said 83 flights to regional destinations were cancelled in a single day, with complete suspension of scheduled Fujairah flights from Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar.
Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot and Multan also saw cancellations on routes to destinations such as Doha, Bahrain, Baghdad, Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Faisalabad was one of the few airports where all scheduled flights for destinations including Jeddah, Dubai, Sharjah and Madinah reportedly remained operational.
Gulf Conflict Continues To Hit Aviation
Air travel disruption in the Gulf has remained severe because of the ongoing Iran-related conflict and repeated security incidents near major hubs. Recent reporting said UAE airspace was temporarily restricted before reopening, while airports in Dubai and across the region faced delays, rerouting and cancellations.

That regional pressure has affected both local and international carriers. British Airways, for example, has extended suspensions on several Middle East routes, underlining how unstable operating conditions remain for airlines flying through or into the region.
Passengers booked on Fujairah services should check directly with PIA before heading to the airport, as schedules remain subject to security reviews and further changes. PIA has previously told travellers to contact its call centre for updates and changes to bookings when Gulf operations are disrupted.
