PESCO Approves Rs7,000 Monthly Danger Allowance for Grid Staff

The board of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has approved a monthly danger allowance of Rs 7,000 for grid station staff, effective immediately.

According to the official notification, the allowance will apply to SSOs, fitters, test inspectors, and helpers posted at grid stations. The board granted the approval during its latest meeting.

In a related decision, the board also approved an 85% increase in the house rent ceiling for federal employees, providing additional financial relief.

PESCO said the measures aim to recognise hazardous duty, improve morale, and strengthen financial security for staff who work in high-risk environments. The company added that all eligible grid station employees will receive the allowance to acknowledge their service and commitment under dangerous conditions.
