A volunteer of a local peace lashkar was killed in a suicide attack on a top commander of an anti-Taliban militia in Khyber Agency, of the FATA region.
According to locals news channels, the attack took place at a market located in the Zakha Khel area of Landi Kotal when a suicide attacker tried to enter the compound of chief of local peace lashkar, Bilal.
An eyewitness told the media that security guards fired shots at the attacker before he blew himself up on the entrance.
The commander remained safe in the attack; however, one of his guards was killed in the attack on the pro-government local militia.
Security forces have cordoned off the entire area and launched a search operation.
