The election of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman will be held on Aug 18, according to a notification issued by the Board here on Saturday.
Acting PCB chairman retired Justice Sair Ali, as election commission, issued the notification. Though one of the Governing Board members, Shaharyar M. Khan, is most likely to be elected as chairman for three years, any member of the Governing Board is eligible to file the nomination papers till Aug 15 before 5:00pm.
Scrutiny and/or withdrawal of the nomination papers and issuance of the final list of candidates will be made on Aug 16. And the special meeting for the election of chairman and the declaration of result and issuance of the notification regarding PCB chairman will be made on Aug 18.
