A passenger was expelled from Orlando International Airport for attempting a viral TikTok hack to dodge airline carry-on fees.

Captured on video by TikTok user Natasha, the footage shows the passenger attempting to board his flight with a pillowcase filled with items, claiming it was just a pillow. The hack previously gained popularity on TikTok but led to his removal by police when it failed.

Natasha, the video poster, advised against such tricks, emphasizing their potential to cause airport problems.

In the video, Natasha explains, “This man tried to bypass fees with a pillowcase of clothes, claiming it was merely a pillow.”

She noted that the passenger could pay for the extra items but initially refused. He offered to pay the fee only when the gate was closed, but it was too late by then.

On Reddit, users shared warnings about the trick, recounting unsuccessful attempts and advice received from airport staff in other locations to stow pillows in bags.
