Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives, Professor Ashan Iqbal, has launched the country’s first Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) portal.
The portal provides access to data for ongoing and previous projects valued at Rs1.1 trillion, enhancing transparency and public engagement in national development projects.
The digital platform, integral to the government’s development plan, aims to leverage digital technologies to improve transparency and governance. It offers citizens insights into various national development initiatives, fostering public engagement and participation.
Minister Ahsan Iqbal praised this initiative as a landmark in promoting transparency and bridging the trust gap between the state and its citizens. This digitalization step aligns with the Planning Ministry’s ‘5Es framework’ (Exports, Energy, E-Pakistan, Environment, and Equity) and the broader E-Pakistan vision.
The portal also features an interactive map interface, allowing users to visually track projects by location and comprehensively understand local development initiatives.
