Pakistan emerges victorious in Gamers8 Tekken 7 Nations Cup, securing first place and a prize of $500,000 from the USD 1 million prize pool. The three-day mega event occurred in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with teams from sixteen nations competing.
Representing the South Asia region, the Pakistani team consisting of Arslan Ash, Atif Butt, and Imran Khan displayed an impressive performance throughout the tournament. They secured a flawless 3-0 victory against South Korea in the upper bracket finals, pushing the Korean team to the lower bracket.
Although South Korea fought back and won the Losers’ Finals, Pakistan proved to be the stronger team in the grand finals, clinching the title of ‘The Greatest Tekken Team In The World.’
The Pakistani players demonstrated dominance in the group stages, securing a perfect 3-0 scoreline and advancing to the playoffs. Their exceptional performance continued as they secured victories against the United Kingdom in the semi-finals and South Korea in both the Winners’ and Grand Finals.
While Arslan Ash, considered one of the world’s best Tekken players, faced difficulties and lost all three of his matches against Bae “Knee” Jae-Min in the grand finals, the rest of the Pakistani players stood strong and delivered exceptional performances, leading to their well-deserved victory.
