According to the NDMA, the first heatwave risk is expected in Umarkot, Tharparkar, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, and Sanghar in Sindh. South Punjab’s Bahawalpur and Rahimyar Khan will also be affected.

The first heatwave may last two to three days between May 15 and 30, possibly reaching 40°C. The heat may feel even more intense.

The second heatwave is expected to last four to five days in late May or early June, with temperatures rising to 45°C.

The third heatwave is anticipated to occur during the first ten days of June, affecting Tharparkar, Umarkot, Sanghar, Badin, and Khairpur.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) predicts that Pakistan will face three heatwaves in the upcoming 25 days, with temperatures soaring as high as 45 degrees Celsius.#KarachiBeats #Karachi pic.twitter.com/HfIf3dmR9X
