All six franchises finalised their squads during Monday’s player draft for the 10th HBL Pakistan Super League at Lahore Fort’s historical Hazuri Bagh.

Lahore Qalandars selected New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell as their first pick, marking his PSL debut. Karachi Kings secured New Zealand’s Kane Williamson in the first supplementary round.
David Warner, former Australian opener, joined the Kings as their second pick in the first Platinum round. Peshawar Zalmi retained Tom Kohler-Cadmore using their right to match, countering Quetta Gladiators’ initial selection. Gladiators then chose New Zealand’s Mark Chapman, who experienced in 81 T20 Internationals.
Multan Sultans and Islamabad United picked New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell and Australia’s Matthew Short in the Platinum round. Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings took two players in the second Platinum round. Gladiators chose Finn Allen and Faheem Ashraf; Kings picked Adam Milne and Abbas Afridi.

The Diamond round saw international acquisitions: South African Corbin Bosch to Zalmi, West Indies’ Jason Holder to United, and Sri Lanka’s Kusal Perera to Qalandars. Zalmi added Bangladesh’s Nahid Rana in the Gold round, while United selected Australian Ben Dwarshuis.
In the Silver round, Qalandars signed Bangladeshi spinner Rishad Hossain. United brought in American Andries Gous for his first PSL appearance. Multan Sultans enlisted Irish pacer Josh Little and West Indies’ spinner Gudakesh Motie.
Later rounds saw the Kings pick Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi and Bangladesh’s Litton Das. Lahore Qalandars matched Islamabad United for England’s Sam Billings. United later added South African Rassie van der Dussen.
In subsequent supplementary rounds, Quetta Gladiators secured Australian Sean Abbott and West Indies’ Shai Hope. Shoaib Malik, joining Gladiators for his tenth PSL season, was a highlight pick. Emerging players Hasan Nawaz and Maaz Sadaqat were chosen by Gladiators and Zalmi. Spinners Saad Masood and Ubaid Shah were also picked by United and Sultans, enhancing their teams.
