RAWALPINDI: Pakistan successfully performed a maiden flight test of its first indigenously developed air-to-air missile, Fa’az, on Tuesday, marking a major milestone in national defence and aerospace capabilities.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that the weapon system was test-launched from a JF-17 fighter jet. The missile features a terminal guidance system designed to engage aerial targets at extended ranges.
Military officials said the successful test underscores technical maturity and self-reliance in the domestic defence sector.
The new missile will boost the Pakistan Air Force’s operational flexibility and strengthen the country’s strategic defence posture.
