Pakistan captain Shan Masood won the toss and opted to bat first in the second and final Test against South Africa. The match is taking place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Monday.
The hosts, who lead the two-match series 1–0 after a 93-run victory in Lahore, entered the contest with a spin-heavy lineup. They fielded three spinners and a single pacer. Shaheen Shah Afridi is the only pacer in the team.
Pakistan gave a Test debut to 38-year-old left-arm spinner Asif Afridi, who joined Noman Ali and Sajid Khan in the spin lineup. The selectors omitted fast bowler Hasan Ali to accommodate the additional spinner.
