Pakistan remittances reached $4.3 billion in May 2026, up 15.4% from May 2025, according to data from the State Bank of Pakistan.
The central bank data showed inflows also rose 20.2% from April 2026. Cumulative workers’ remittances reached $38.1 billion during the first 11 months of the fiscal year, against $34.9 billion in the same period last year.
Saudi Arabia sent $1.025 billion in May 2026, while inflows from the United Arab Emirates totalled $1.066 billion, according to SBP data. The United Kingdom contributed $645.5 million, and the United States sent $349.8 million.
The latest data followed $33.859 billion in workers’ remittances during July-April FY2025-26, which the SBP said marked 8.5% growth from the same period a year earlier.
Pakistan’s IT freelance earnings also rose during the fiscal year. SBP data cited by Profit by Pakistan Today showed freelancers generated $959 million during July-April FY2025-26, up 49% from $642 million a year earlier.

The earnings came under the computer and information services sector and had already exceeded the full-year FY2025 total of $779 million.
