Pakistan maintained their winning momentum by following up their South African victory with a successful start to their ODI series against Sri Lanka. The narrow Rawalpindi win featured crucial contributions from multiple players now enjoying ranking improvements.
Salman Ali Agha achieved his career-best ranking position following his match-winning century against Sri Lanka. The batsman jumped fourteen places to claim the sixteenth position with 639 rating points.
This advancement places him ahead of Indian batsman KL Rahul, who currently holds the seventeenth position. Salman’s unbeaten 105-run innings demonstrated his growing importance to Pakistan’s middle order.

Saim Ayub also made substantial progress despite a quieter performance against Sri Lanka. His consecutive half-centuries during the South African series helped him climb eighteen places to joint thirty-fifth position.
Bowling Rankings Reward Pakistani Performers
Fast bowler Haris Rauf marked his international return with an impressive ranking improvement. His four-wicket haul against Sri Lanka, coming in just his second match since the Asia Cup final, elevated him three places to twenty-eighth position.
Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed achieved one of the most notable advances despite missing the Sri Lanka match. His career-best 4/27 performance against South Africa propelled him seventeen places upward in the bowling rankings.

South African wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock impressed during his international comeback against Pakistan. His consistent performance, scoring fifty-plus runs in all three ODIs, earned him a four-place rise to fifteenth position.
Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga excelled with both bat and ball during the Rawalpindi match. His contributions of 3/54 with the ball and a spirited 59 with the bat resulted in significant ranking improvements. Hasaranga advanced fourteen places to claim the 116th position in batting rankings while moving up one place to ninth in bowling rankings. He maintains his presence in the top ten of the ICC Men’s ODI All-Rounder Rankings.
