ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan petrol price will rise by Rs6.39 to Rs327.12 per litre from July 23, while high-speed diesel will increase by Rs7.83 to Rs375.04, according to the pricing schedule.
Petrol previously cost Rs320.73 per litre, while high-speed diesel stood at Rs367.21. Pakistan State Oil’s public fuel-price page continued to display those July 22 rates when checked.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority updates ex-depot petroleum prices under the federal government’s daily review mechanism. Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik said the formula uses the average of international market prices recorded over the preceding seven days.

Under the federal cabinet-approved framework, OGRA can announce daily petrol and diesel prices without obtaining prior approval from the prime minister or the federal government. Rates announced on Fridays remain applicable through Saturday and Sunday.
Any change in the petroleum levy requires approval from the Finance Division, while the levy cannot exceed the ceiling authorised by the federal cabinet.
The framework also routes high-speed diesel imports exclusively through Pakistan State Oil during fiscal year 2026–27. Oil marketing companies may import petrol in line with their market share, subject to import and product-uplift obligations.
