The Pakistan Navy has successfully test-flown a new indigenously developed missile. The advanced weapon system is a ship-launched anti-ship ballistic missile, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The missile is capable of engaging both sea and land-based targets. It achieves this with a high degree of accuracy, enhancing the Navy’s strike capabilities.
The system features state-of-the-art guidance technology. It also possesses enhanced manoeuvrability for reliable performance in complex operational environments. The test flight was witnessed by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf. Senior scientists and engineers who contributed to the project were also present.

The ISPR stated that this achievement underscores Pakistan’s growing technological competence. It also highlights the Navy’s strong commitment to safeguarding national maritime interests.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the teams involved. The outgoing Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and other service chiefs also offered their congratulations.
They commended the participating military units and scientists on this significant milestone.
This test follows a recent successful launch by the Pakistan Army. In September, the Army conducted a training launch of the indigenously developed ‘Fatah-4’ ground-launched cruise missile. These developments collectively demonstrate advancements in Pakistan’s indigenous defence technology.
