Pakistan Navy and China have discovered large gas reserves deep in the sea following a joint survey. Rear Admiral (retd) Fawad Amin Baig shared this update on Pakistan Navy Day, September 8. The discovery is a significant step towards enhancing the potential of Pakistan Gas Reserves 2025.
While talking to Geo News anchorperson, Hamid Mir, he said the country’s waters hold many valuable resources, including gas and minerals, that could boost Pakistan’s economy if managed well. Rear Admiral Baig praised the Pakistan Navy’s role in finding these resources. A detailed survey by both countries confirmed these gas deposits under the seabed, further contributing to Pakistan’s Gas Reserves 2025 prospects.

Baig also stressed the need to bring in investors. He explained that, with enough funding and the right technology, these gas reserves could help Pakistan grow and develop. However, there are challenges in achieving the goals for Pakistan by 2025.
Baig warned that whenever Pakistan makes progress, hostile tactics make investors hesitate. He believes the Special Investment Facilitation Council, military, and government leaders now have a strong defense and economic plan to keep investors interested and focused on Pakistan Gas Reserves 2025.

China and Pakistan continue to work together to promote mining and develop new industries. Last year, both countries issued a joint statement. China will assist Pakistan in areas such as marine oil and gas resources, as well as natural gas hydrants. Chinese companies are encouraged to participate in the development of offshore oil and gas blocks in Pakistan, which will significantly impact the country’s Gas Reserves 2025 plans.
