Pakistan will establish a PM Youth Program China Secretariat in Beijing to coordinate vocational education, youth employment and skills-transfer projects, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said.
Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, announced the secretariat at the Beijing headquarters of Tangfeng International Education Group.
He made the announcement during a visit aimed at improving coordination between Pakistani and Chinese institutions in skills development and youth employment.
The delegation held talks with senior officials of Guangdong Open University and Guangdong Polytechnic Institute.
They reviewed the vocational education programmes agreed during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to China.

At the Pak-China Youth Vocational Education Symposium, Rana Mashhood said the secretariat would serve as a coordination platform for youth employment, skills transfer and educational collaboration.

He also unveiled the Pakistan National Vocational Education Teachers Training Base. The initiative is designed to improve teacher training, technical education standards and employment opportunities.
The delegation visited engineering and vocational training laboratories to study China’s industry-oriented education model and applied learning systems.
In a separate meeting, officials of Beijing Guangda Boye Technology Development Co., Ltd. briefed the delegation on new energy vehicle training equipment, research and development processes and industrial applications.
Both sides discussed teacher training, curriculum development, technology transfer and specialised training centres in Pakistan for green technology, battery technology, intelligent manufacturing and electric vehicle maintenance.
