Pakistan e-passport fees range from Rs9,000 to Rs40,500 for 36-page and 72-page documents, according to the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports.
A 36-page e-passport valid for five years costs Rs9,000 under normal processing and Rs15,000 under urgent processing. The 10-year version costs Rs13,500 normally and Rs22,500 urgently.
For a 72-page e-passport valid for 5 years, applicants must pay Rs16,500 for the normal service or Rs27,000 for urgent processing.
The 10-year, 72-page document costs Rs24,750 for normal processing and Rs40,500 for urgent processing. Fast-track delivery is not available for e-passports.
The biometric passport contains a contactless NFC chip that stores the holder’s personal and biometric information. It also uses laser engraving and infrared and ultraviolet security features.

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports said the document complies with International Civil Aviation Organization standards and supports electronic identity checks and e-gate use at airports.
Applicants can generate a Payment Slip Identification number through the Passport Fee Asaan application or web portal. Payments can be made through internet banking, ATMs, JazzCash, Easypaisa and participating 1-Link bank branches.
The e-passport facility has been available at passport field offices across Pakistan since August 16, 2023.
