After Pakistan’s humiliating whitewash against Sri Lanka dropped the team’s ranking to number 6 from third position.
The ICC issued new rankings on Monday, showing Pakistan’s fall from the third to sixth position.
After first test defeat, Pakistani team had a chance to retain third position by winning the second test against the Sri Lanka, however it was handed a ruthless whitewash by the Islanders, spearheaded by Sri Lankan spinner Rengana Herath who bagged 23 wickets in two tests.
Sri Lanka has been promoted to fourth position after Pakistan’s mauling.
