Pakistan chose to bat first against England in the second Test, aiming to bounce back after their defeat in the opening match.

In the first Test, Pakistan suffered a significant loss, falling short by an innings and 47 runs.

According to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), captain Ben Stokes is leading today’s team after returning from a hamstring injury.

Stokes could not play in the first five-day Test due to his injury.

Meanwhile, key Pakistani players such as Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Naseem Shah are absent from the national team for the remainder of the three-match series. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that they have been rested for the second and third Tests when revealing today’s squad.
