Pakistan reached 96-4 at lunch on Day 2 of the second Test against Bangladesh at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Sunday after losing four early wickets.
The visitors resumed on 21-0 but slipped to 23-2 after Taskin Ahmed removed Azan Awais for 13 and Abdullah Fazal for 9.
Babar Azam and captain Shan Masood added 38 runs to steady Pakistan’s innings. Mehidy Hasan Miraz then dismissed Masood for 21 before removing Saud Shakeel for 8.
Babar stayed unbeaten on 37 at lunch, while Agha Salman was not out on 6 as Pakistan tried to recover from 79-4.
Bangladesh had earlier made 278 in 77 overs after recovering from 116-6 on Day 1. Liton Das led the innings with 126 off 159 balls, hitting 16 fours and two sixes.
Taijul Islam scored 16, while Shoriful Islam remained not out on 12 as Bangladesh’s lower order added key runs.

Khurram Shahzad led Pakistan’s attack with 4-81 in 17 overs. Mohammad Abbas took three wickets, Hasan Ali claimed two and Sajid Khan picked up one.
