The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has advised Pak ID users in Pakistan to allow up to 48 hours at the approval stage if the app does not show a fee payment option.
In a LinkedIn post, NADRA explained that “Ready for Approval” means an application awaits approval. The app displays the payment option after approval, so applicants may initially see the status without a way to pay.
Applicants should seek assistance if the payment option remains unavailable beyond that period. They can call 1777 from a mobile phone or contact NADRA on 051-111-786-100.
Those seeking in-person help can visit their nearest NADRA registration centre and provide their application details. NADRA’s guidance confirms that the payment is required after approval and addresses users who cannot yet access that option.
Separately, NADRA introduced family digital IDs and additional verification tools in Pak ID version 5.8.0. Its September 26 announcement outlined features for managing identity documents and completing biometric checks.
Users can obtain, securely store and share digital identity cards for their spouses and eligible children alongside their own digital ID. This gives families access to those documents within the same app.

For certificate verification, users can open “Scan QR Code,” scan the digital quick response (QR) code on a Child Registration Certificate, commonly called a B-Form or a Cancellation Certificate, and then view the verified information in the app.
NADRA urged users to download the latest app version to access these tools. Version 5.8.0 introduced easier biometric verification for influenza and meningitis vaccinations linked to Hajj and Umrah.
