During the unveiling of the Pak-Afghan ODI series trophy, Afghanistan’s cricket captain, Hashmatullah Shahidi, extended a heartfelt gesture by gifting Pakistani players traditional Afghan embroidered dresses. This significant series opener is scheduled for today in Hambantota, Sri Lanka.

The exquisite blend of marble, wood, and gemstone trophy embodies Afghanistan’s rich history. Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Haris, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Shadab Khan, among other Pakistani players, were recipients of these traditional Afghan dresses, a token of goodwill presented during their training session.

This generous act by the Afghanistan team leader was met with gratitude from the Pakistani players and appreciation from online fans, highlighting the desire for peace and camaraderie between the two neighbouring cricketing nations.
