A pilot of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) dies in an air crash due to technical fault this morning.
The PAF spokesperson while talking to media said the jet crashed shortly before take-off and the pilot embraced martyrdom after he flied away the jet from a residential area to prevent any damage.
According to Squadron leader Baqir Ali, PAF Mirage jet-bearing tale number 921 took off from Masroor Base, before it crashed near Musharraf Colony.
Senior Superintendent Police has also confirmed about the incident and said “A Mirage plane crashed near Musharraf colony and pilot died on the spot” .
The plane went out of control of the pilot and came crashing down. Rescue teams have been dispatched to the site. Two persons were reported injured in incident.
A spokesman of Pakistan Air Force said that an inquiry board has been formed to probe the crash.
It should be noted that Flight Lieutenant Umar Shahzad was killed when his training jet had crashed in Jamrud on 24th September.
