Official results of KP local government elections announced

Peshawar: The official results of the local government elections held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been announced. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leads with 395 candidates elected to the district council.

In second place is Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) with 132 candidates elected, while ANP comes a close third with 128 candidates and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) follows with 118 candidates elected to the district councils.

Jamat-e-Islami (JI) candidates secured 65 while 51 candidates of the Pakistan Peoples Party were elected to the district council.
