Kiwi captain Kane Williamson won the toss on Wednesday and decided to bat first in the fourth one day international between Pakistan and New Zealand in Abu Dhabi.
“That was a big tragedy yesterday, especially for the victims’ families. We are playing for them, we are playing for the people back home,” Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi said during the toss. “We are all trying to back each other up.”
Afridi announced two changes in the team. Left-hand opening batsman Nasir Jamshed has made a comeback to the national side, along with right-arm pacer Anwar Ali.
Paving way for Jamshed and Ali are right-hand middle order batsman Asad Shafiq and left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz.
New Zealand has made three changes in their team. Daniel Vettori, AF Milne and DG Brownlie have been included in the playing 11, in place of James Neesham, Anton Devcich and Nathan McCullum.
Pakistan leads the five-match series 2-1.
