Philadelphia Eagles edge rusher Nolan Smith Jr. was arrested in Georgia after authorities said he drove 135 mph in a 70 mph zone, the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office said.
Smith was stopped at 10:41 pm local time on a major highway and later released after posting a surety bond.
WSB-TV reported that the former University of Georgia standout faces speeding and reckless-driving charges after the Friday arrest in Twiggs County. The sheriff’s office has also confirmed the arrest.
