Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that politicising every issue is not appropriate.
Speaking at a press conference, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the detailed statement regarding the imposition of Article 245 in Islamabad was shown in a wrong way. He added that the article has been imposed 11 times in the past seven years.
He added that he had no complaints against the media for mis-reporting the issue.
“It is not strange that the military has been called for the assistance of civil administration. The military was called for Muharram security by the previous government”, Nisar said.
Chaudhry Nisar further said that Article 245 is a part of the constitution and its not wrong to deploy the military. He also said that that the imposition of the article does not mean that the city has been handed over to the military.
“Military is used according to the constitution and rule of law. The military will work under the civil administration “, he said.
Interior Minister stated that politicians mistook the imposition of Article 245. He advised the opposition parties to show patience on the issue. He further said that the purpose of calling the military is only and only for law and order situation. He added that a day of certain politicians does not pass if they do not give any statements.
